Will Green Still Be Cool If Everyone Does It?

Ok. So green is trendy. So what? I think oxygen bars were trendy for 15 minutes or so also, but that doesn't mean oxygen isn't fairly useful in our daily lives now that people aren't lining up to breathe for fun on Friday nights.

The more people that are focusing on greener, safer alternatives for homes and families, the more demand there is for these safer products and therefore the more that these products are produced.  In this way, we can have a say in products in the future.

No Vinegar! How to Clean Granite Naturally

Hi all!

I've been a bit absent lately because I've been throwing myself into massive amounts of product and food research.  The amount of time it takes to get a straight answer about products or companies baffles me sometimes which is why I love putting my hard earned answers to good use with EcoConsulting...
...but i digress. I was chatting with another mom over the mommy water cooler about Eco Made Easy and she told me that she was struggling with finding a natural cleaner for her new granite counter tops.

Our Most Vulnerable Population Surrounded by Toxins

Perspectives: Exposing the other side of the coin on issues that matter.

Consider this:
Premature infants in neonatal care are exposed to very high levels of phlalates, plastic softeners that mimic hormones and are known endocrine disruptors.  While there is no evidence of long term damage, studies haven't been performed yet to track any changes. Does a lack of testing mean it is safe?

With more and more of the general public turning their eye to the environment and their general well-being, a trend has arisen around eco-friendly and "green" products.  This has created a slew of buzzwords that are being slapped liberally on many a product.  What does half of this stuff really mean anyways?

Its GO time!

There has been some radio silence on Eco.Made.Easy. lately. No more! We have been busy little bees behind the scene getting our Consulting and Community projects ready to go.

We have been formulating lots of ideas and starting to team up with some really cool companies, small and large, that support the Eco.Made.Easy. ideals of simple and healthy living.  Watch my blog for weekly highlights of these EcoCommunity partners.

Stinky Toys

We have all heard about the recent lead exposure issue from kid's toys but BPA, Phlalates, PVC, … It seems like you have to be a chemical engineer to be able to understand and safely purchase children's toys.
Buying toys for small children, especially those who are still at the stage of sticking everything imaginable into their curious little mouths, can be a confusing nightmare with all of the new material information available.  It seems like every time you look at the shelf a toy exclaims that it is free of this or that chemical.

First Things First

Hello All!
I'm excited to start out on this new venture of demystifying the increasingly complicated arena of toxins in the home.

Do you know what is really in your air?  Have you ever looked up what is really in Febreze?
